An update to IELTS testing in Latin America
The IELTS partners continue to monitor the development of Covid-19 around the world and are keeping a close eye on government mandates in every country where our staff, test-takers, and stakeholders are affected.
We are following the advice of the World Health Organisation to help protect everyone’s safety.
IELTS Test Centres that must close for the time being will be contacting test takers to let them know of the cancellation and refund the fees.
Some test centres remain open for the time being. All centres have implemented additional precautions to help protect the health and well-being of our staff and test-takers. We will continue monitoring the situation and we will take the necessary steps.
If you are looking to book a test in Latin America, please contact the local test centre to find out if testing is available.
We will continue monitoring the situation in Latin America and around the world and update you of any new developments via our website www.ielts.org.
Support for you and our test takers
We understand this is a challenging time for our test takers and our organisations. We are working closely with students and the sector to help provide solutions.
We are launching an online tool, with genuine IELTS content, timed to match an IELTS test, to help address test shortages in areas where testing is suspended. More information will be available on this in coming weeks. https://www.ielts.org/news/2020/an-update-from-ielts
We are also running online preparation support sessions to help students connect with our experts online.
Please rest assured that the IELTS Partners will be ready to provide extra test dates and locations worldwide once the Covid-19 situation is stable and it is safe to resume testing in those locations that have been affected.
If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us,
